Wasteland: Rules Update

“Hello players! It’s been a long time since the last Zedtown and we’ve been doing a lot of tinkering under the hood in preparation for our next game. Last year you sent us heaps of feedback and we’ve used it to tweak our rules in a number of small ways – hopefully ways that will make the game a more enjoyable experience for everyone!

Because Zedtown is such a community-based game I’ve done my best to explain our goals and philosophy behind each rules change – so you can get the best sense of what we’re trying to achieve. If you have any questions about this game and the future, feel free to get in touch.

This first set of updates amend some of our base rules in the game. I’ll be making a second update that specifically explains how factions work (including faction vs faction fire) a little closer to the game. Thanks for reading!”

– David Harmon, Designer

Costumes and cosplay are encouraged at Zedtown. We ask that players use common sense in how they dress and don’t wear costumes that may offend, intimidate or confuse other players and bystanders. If a mod asks you to remove an element of your costume, please respect their decision.

Blasters may not be internally or mechanically modified in any way that affect their performance, rate of fire or hitting power, including voltage and spring replacement mods. Cosmetic mods as well as Nerf or third party attachments may be used normally. As always blasters must be brightly coloured with blaze-orange tips.

No Harassment. We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free game experience for everyone regardless of gender, orientation, race, age or religion. Harassment of players or moderators in any form may lead to you being removed from the event at the discretion of Zedtown organisers, with no refund possible.

That’s all for now. As we continue to refine the rules we’ll let you know. A complete list of rules can be found on the rules page. For all event information, check out the Zedtown: The Wasteland page.
